well ya unfortuneate eh!! my sis and i talked very breifly about the subject of biofuel vs. fossil fuel. in Alberta it is a very hot issue of course Alberta aggressively opposes the electric car and the use of biofuels. i told her that on city of courtenay vehicles now run on biofuel and i thought calgary should do the same but im sure that wont happen even if hell froze over.

I got a kick out of that talk about some Calgarians, so sensitive about oil, that they got into fist fights with the Hybrid and EV believers. = TG

It's actually good for the oil producers to back alternative fuels.

They aren't so dumb as some folks like to represent.
FWIW - the BIGGEST impediment to alternative fuel technologies being adopted are Government Bureaucracies.

Of topic .... I though of Tony when I saw this post about the Electric Drag Bike

Ommag,
Thanks for the lead. It led me to this with two vidios to the *KillaBike*..

One video = good, and one video verry bad.

This is a problem that will kill many people and possibly lead to speed governors on all EVs sometime into the future.= TG

There has been an about face.

They got such a backlash that both the Zenn and Dynasty are now DOT approved for sale in BC for sure and possibly Canada in general. = TG

i saw a report on tv a little while ago saying that the fellow in errington bc supplies electric vehicles to many parts of the world but isnt allowed to sell them in canada. so ya omag is right that its government beuracracy to blame but and you may i think i am just jaded, but but isnt it really the corporations that runs the government? if some corporation gives a bunch of money to a political party than isnt that political party gonna do what they want them to do?

You got that right Mac, but the backlash was so heavy that the government had to go ahead and pass both the Zenn and Dynasty EVs because they met the standards.

They are safer than a bike, E-Bike-E-motor scooter or 4 wheeled senior personal vehicle, after all.= TG
